Dengue Toll Rises: 5 More Dead, Over 840 Admitted in 24 Hours

At least five people have died from dengue, and 841 others were admitted to hospitals within the past 24 hours as of 8:00 a.m. today.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported that four of the fatalities occurred in areas under Dhaka South City Corporation, while one death was recorded in Mymensingh division.
With these new deaths and hospitalisations, the total dengue-related deaths this year have reached 238, and the total number of confirmed cases stands at 56,257.
So far, 53,354 patients have recovered and been discharged after receiving treatment.
Currently, 2,665 dengue patients are receiving care in hospitals nationwide, with 1,694 of them coming from outside Dhaka.
