On December 21, a charity concert titled Echoes of Revolution was held at Dhaka’s Army Stadium to support the families of those injured or killed in the July-August 2024 uprising. Renowned Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan performed at the event organized by the platform Spirits of July.

The concert raised approximately 16.5 million Bangladeshi Taka, which was donated to the welfare organization July Martyrs Memorial Foundation, dedicated to assisting affected families. On December 31, the funds were handed over at the foundation’s Shahbagh office by the concert organizers, including Mohiuddin Mujahid Mahi, SM Ehsan Ullah Dhrubo, Khairul Ahsan Marzan, and others.

In addition to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, several local artists, such as Hannan (who faced persecution for protest songs), rapper Sejan, and bands like Chirkut, Artcell, and Aftermath, performed without charge. The event’s title sponsor was Prime Bank PLC.

To ensure financial transparency, the organizers engaged auditing firm Hoda Vasi Chowdhury & Co. An advisory committee of academics from Dhaka University and prominent figures, including Dr. Kazi Mahfuzul Haque Supan and Dr. Rezwanul Haque Khan, provided oversight and accountability for the concert’s financial management.
