Storm is expected in six districts by evening

The Meteorological Office is expecting a storm with a maximum speed of 60 km per hour over six districts. This has been informed in a forecast given for the internal river ports of the country till 6 pm today Saturday.

Meteorologist Md. According to a notification signed by Omar Farooq, gusty or gale-force winds with a speed of 45 to 60 km per hour may blow temporarily over Rangpur, Bogra, Mymensingh, Tangail, Comilla and Sylhet districts from the west or north-west. It may rain or thunder during this time. Therefore, the river ports of these areas have been asked to show warning signal number 1.

Meanwhile, according to another notification of the Meteorological Office, Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay of Bengal. In this situation, light to moderate rain with gusty wind or rain with thunder is forecast in all parts of the country.

Among these, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. This trend of storms is expected to continue throughout the week.
