Robbers steal Tk 16 lakh from Khulna Krishi Bank

Over Tk 16 Lakh Stolen from Krishi Bank Branch in Khulna
More than Tk 16 lakh was stolen from a Krishi Bank branch in Rupsha upazila, Khulna district, on Friday.
Police said the theft likely occurred between Thursday evening and around 10:30 PM on Friday. The incident was discovered at approximately 10 PM when the bank’s security guard noticed the main gate had been forced open.
Three security guards—Afzal, Abul Kashem, and Tariqul—have been taken into custody for questioning.
Rupsha Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman stated that a group of thieves broke into the bank vault and stole the money on Friday night. CCTV footage from the area has been collected as part of the ongoing investigation.
