The National Consensus Commission is set to hold its third round of discussions with the BNP on Tuesday, April 22, at the LD Hall of the National Parliament, focusing on reform proposals submitted by five separate commissions. A BNP delegation, led by Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed, is expected to attend the meeting at 11 AM. Previously, similar meetings were held on April 17 and 20, where the BNP presented its views on the proposed reforms. The party had officially submitted its own set of reform proposals on March 23. Following the ousting of the Awami League government on August 5, the interim government formed 11 commissions in two phases to work on state reform. Under the leadership of Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the National Consensus Commission began its work on February 15 to develop a unified national reform agenda based on the commissions’ recommendations.
