Dr. Yunus Arrived in Qatar

Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of the interim government, has arrived in Qatar. His flight landed at Hamad International Airport in Doha at 9:40 PM local time on Monday, April 22. The information was confirmed by his Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, through a post on his verified Facebook account. Upon arrival, Dr. Yunus received a red carpet welcome and was greeted by Qatar’s Chief of Protocol, Ambassador Ibrahim Fakhroo. He traveled to Qatar at the invitation of Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to attend the upcoming Earthna Summit 2025. Dr. Yunus and his delegation departed from Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 7:00 PM the same day. According to Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Mazumder, in addition to participating in the summit, a meeting between Dr. Yunus and the Emir of Qatar is also likely to take place during the visit.
