Three Suspected Bombs Found in Farmgate, Defused Safely

The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit’s bomb disposal team has successfully neutralized three suspicious objects resembling crude bombs found on a sidewalk near Ananda Cinema Hall in Farmgate, Dhaka.
According to reports, at approximately 11:10 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2025, the national emergency service (999) received a call informing them about a black bag containing three suspected explosive devices on the sidewalk in front of Ananda Cinema Hall. Upon receiving the alert, officers from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station quickly reached the scene and secured the area.
CTTC sources confirmed that upon being notified by the police, a specialized bomb disposal team was dispatched to the location. The suspicious objects were later transported to the old trade fair ground, where they were successfully neutralized following standard procedures.
Authorities have stated that legal proceedings related to the incident are currently underway.
