Brain Surgery Planned for Hadi After Condition Stabilizes

Doctors say Sharif Osman bin Hadi, who was shot, will need surgery to restore brain function, but the procedure will only be possible once his overall condition becomes stable.
This information was shared in a statement issued on Wednesday morning by Inqilab Mancha, which was also posted on the organization’s official Facebook page.
Sharif Osman bin Hadi is the convener of Inqilab Mancha and a potential candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency in the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election.
According to the statement, doctors are currently waiting for his physical condition to stabilize before preparing him for surgery. The immediate medical focus is on fully stabilizing his body and re-establishing the connection between his body and brain.
The statement added that all of his organs other than the brain are functioning. His treatment may continue either in Singapore or the United Kingdom.
Sharif Osman bin Hadi was shot by assailants who opened fire from a moving motorcycle in the Purana Paltan area of the capital last Friday afternoon, a day after the election schedule for the 13th parliamentary polls was announced. He is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Singapore.
His family has requested special prayers for his recovery, the statement said.
