59 Palestinians Die in Israeli Prisons: A Violation of Human Rights

At least 59 Palestinians have died while being held in Israeli prisons, reportedly due to abuse. These deaths occurred after Israel launched its aggression on Gaza in October 2023. According to a report by Anadolu, the Palestinian Prisoners Society stated that the fatalities include 38 individuals from the Gaza Strip. The organization has also accused Israeli authorities of concealing information regarding the deaths of these detainees. The Prisoners Commission reported that one of the deceased, Musaab Haniyeh, was arrested by Israeli forces in March 2024, despite being in good health prior to his detention. Since Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza in 1967, at least 296 Palestinians have died in Israeli prisons. Over 10,000 Palestinians are currently imprisoned, with many more from Gaza not included in this count.
