Iran has raised its alert level to “maximum readiness” and issued direct threats toward both the United States and Israel, according to a report by Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei confirmed that Iran’s military forces have been placed on high alert, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation and warning of potential consequences arising from “external threats.”
In a strongly worded statement, Iran not only warned Washington and Tel Aviv but also issued cautionary messages to regional neighbors including Iraq, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Turkey, and Bahrain. Tehran made it clear that any assistance—such as providing airspace or territorial support—for an attack on Iranian soil by the U.S. would be considered a “hostile act.” Iran added that such actions could result in those nations being added to its list of military targets.
This stern warning from Tehran comes amid rising tensions in the region, as concerns grow over the broader geopolitical implications should a conflict erupt between Iran and the United States.
