Defamation Case Filed Against BSS MD and Two Others

A defamation case has been filed against three individuals, including Mahbub Morshed, the Managing Director of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), over allegations of posting a fabricated poem on social media under the name of Abdul Hai Shikder, the editor of Dainik Jugantor and a poet. A summons has been issued for the accused to appear in court on April 28.

 

On Sunday, March 23, Khorshed Alam Mia, President of the Ad-hoc Committee of the Dhaka Lawyers’ Association, confirmed the information. He stated that publishing false or misleading content about a renowned poet and journalist was unacceptable, and they demand a fair trial. Poet Abdul Hai Shikder has also called for a thorough investigation and justice regarding the matter.
