Major Step Toward Judicial Independence: Separate Secretariat Announced

Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refaat Ahmed announced that a separate secretariat for the judiciary will soon be implemented. He made the remarks during a visit to the office of the Supreme Court Reporters Forum on Wednesday morning, April 16.
During his visit, the Chief Justice emphasized the importance of establishing an independent judiciary and called upon both lawyers and journalists for their support in achieving this goal.
He also listened to various concerns raised by members of the legal community and assured them that necessary steps would be taken to address those issues.
Later that day, the Chief Justice visited several development projects within the High Court premises. The Registrar General of the Supreme Court and other officials were also present during the inspection.
