Teen Beaten to Death in Chattogram, Two Others Injured
A 15-year-old boy was killed and two others injured in an attack allegedly carried out by a group of six teenagers in Fatikchhari upazila, Chattogram, early this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Md Rihan Uddin Mahin, son of Muhammad Lokman, from Sagar Ali Talukdar Bari in the Kanchannagar area of the upazila.
Fatikchhari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nur Ahmed confirmed that two of the six suspects have been detained, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining individuals.
According to the OC, the group of six chased Rihan and several other boys around 7:00 am near the Chengar Bridge area on suspicion of theft. Three of the boys, including Rihan, attempted to escape by taking refuge on the roof of an under-construction building. However, the assailants forced them down and assaulted them near the bridge.
Rihan succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the other two sustained injuries and were taken for medical treatment.
