Late-Night Fire in Narayanganj, Tin-Shed Market Reduced to Ashes

A devastating fire broke out at a tin-shed market in Rupganj, Narayanganj, reducing 19 shops to ashes. The incident occurred late Wednesday night (March 19) at Green City Super Market in the Tarabo Bishwa Road area.
According to locals, the fire started around 2:15 AM from a scrap shop and quickly spread to the nearby tin-shed market, engulfing Green City Super Market in flames.
Kanchpur Fire Service Station Officer Jahangir Alam stated that three firefighting units rushed to the scene upon receiving the report. After an hour of intense efforts, they managed to bring the fire under control. However, by then, 19 shops—including furniture stores, motor parts shops, and fabric outlets—had been completely destroyed. The exact cause of the fire is still unknown.
