PM Holds Meeting With Editors’ Council Leaders
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman met with leaders of the Editors’ Council at the Public Administration Conference Room of the Cabinet Division at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday afternoon.
The information was later shared through the verified Facebook page of the Prime Minister’s Office.
During the meeting, the participants discussed several contemporary issues related to the media industry. Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yaser Khan Chowdhury, and the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Information Affairs Zahed Ur Rahman were also present.
Among the Editors’ Council representatives attending the meeting were Council President and New Age Editor Nurul Kabir, Council Secretary General and Bonik Barta Editor Dewan Hanif Mahmud, Daily Star Editor Mahfuz Anam, Manabzamin Chief Editor Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, Prothom Alo Editor Matiur Rahman, Financial Express Editor Shamsul Haque Zahid, Inqilab Editor A M M Bahauddin, Karatoa Editor Mozammel Haque, and Suprabhat Bangladesh Editor Rusho Mahmud.
Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Saleh Shibly and Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman were also in attendance.
Following the meeting, the Prime Minister joined the Editors’ Council leaders for lunch.
