NBR Reduces Workshop VAT Back to 10%

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has announced the withdrawal of the increased VAT rate on workshops, reverting it to the previous 10%. This decision was made following discussions with NBR Chairman Abdur Rahman Khan on Monday.
Earlier, on January 9, an ordinance had raised the VAT rate on workshops to 15%. However, this increase has now been reversed, ensuring that workshops will continue to operate under the 10% VAT rate. Notably, on January 16, the NBR had also revoked its decision to raise VAT in the hotel and restaurant sectors.
