The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned 23 former and current officials of RAJUK in connection with an ongoing investigation into a case involving British MP Tulip Siddiq’s alleged unlawful acquisition of an apartment in Gulshan. According to a letter sent by ACC Deputy Assistant Director Abdullah Al Mamun to the RAJUK chairman, the officials have been asked to appear for questioning on June 29 and 30.
The case involves allegations that Eastern Housing provided undue privileges, enabling Tulip Siddiq to receive the apartment illegally. Among those summoned are former RAJUK chairman Humayun Khadem and director Abdur Rahman Bhuiyan.
Earlier, Tulip Siddiq and nine other former RAJUK officials were also summoned, but none responded to the notices. The ACC Chairman has described Tulip’s previous demand to drop the case as “laughable.”
