BCB Announces U-19 World Cup Squad

The ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup is set to kick off in Malaysia on January 18, with Bangladesh announcing a strong 15-member squad in preparation for the tournament. Sumaiya Akter has been named captain of the young Tigresses, who aim to make their mark on the global stage.

 

Following the recently concluded Asia Cup, there have been minimal changes to the squad. Maharun Nesha and Arvin Tani have been excluded, while Lucky Khatun and Sadia Islam have been added to the roster.

 

The tournament will feature 16 teams, with all matches being held at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval. The grand final is scheduled for February 2.

 

Bangladesh Under-19 Women’s Team:

Sumaiya Akter (captain), Afia Asima Ira, Fahmida Choya, Faria Akter, Habiba Islam Pinky, Jannatul Islam Mawa, Juairia Ferdous, Lucky Khatun, Anisa Akter Soba, Mosammat Eva, Farzana Yasmin, Sumaiya Akter Suborna, Nishita Akter Nishi, Sadia Akter, and Sadia Islam.
