Chief Advisor urges Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in Bangladesh’s industrial future

Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor, called on Chinese investors to consider Bangladesh as a potential manufacturing hub during the opening ceremony of the China-Bangladesh Business and Investment Conference held in Dhaka on Sunday, June 1. Speaking at the day-long event attended by a delegation of high-level Chinese business representatives, Dr. Yunus highlighted Bangladesh’s opportunities in sectors such as garments, energy, agriculture, jute, and information technology.
He expressed gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping for responding to Bangladesh’s invitation by sending a business delegation and noted that nearly half of Bangladesh’s population is under the age of 30, making it a nation with a dynamic and ready workforce.
Dr. Yunus urged Chinese entrepreneurs to harness the potential of the country’s youth and partner with the interim government in shaping a new Bangladesh through meaningful investment and collaboration.
