BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, and Barrister Jaima Rahman, representing BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman, attended the National Prayer Breakfast hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump.
The event took place on Thursday, February 6, at 7 AM local time in Washington, D.C., at the White House. The gathering lasted for seven hours, bringing together key political figures, diplomats, business leaders, and cultural personalities from various countries.
In an official Facebook post, BNP highlighted that the National Prayer Breakfast is a long-standing tradition in the U.S., where newly elected presidents host influential global figures. This year, BNP leaders were among the distinguished invitees.
As part of their first 100 days in office, U.S. presidents typically hold special breakfast and dinner events to honor global dignitaries. The event was attended by President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, U.S. senators, congressional representatives, international leaders, and professionals from various fields.
