In 1976, the movie ‘Fakira’ starring Shashi and Shabana was released. Shabana had a different experience while acting in a daring scene in this film. Because, in the beginning, he was not willing to act in that scene. As soon as he spoke, Shashi called him ‘stupid’.

But Shabana felt that Shashi’s statement on the shooting floor in front of everyone was insulting.

Reminiscing about this in an interview recently, Shabana said, ‘I was young then. Tears came to my eyes and I left the set. Because I didn’t want to act in that scene.

The song ‘Dil Mein Tujhe Boitha Kar’ was being shot in the film. There the director demanded a bold scene from Shabana. But he did not agree. Then Shashi said to Shabana, ‘When you told your mother that you wanted to be an actress, didn’t you think of these things? Stupid girl!’

But at the same time, Shabana said that she was a fan of Shashi since she was 9 years old. The actress also said that Prithviraj Kapoor was Shabana’s neighbor in her childhood. Shashi used to appear there every Sunday with his family. And Shabana used to take the black-and-white photograph of Shashi bought by saving the money of the handmaiden and get it signed by the actor. So acting with a star like Shashi later in life is one of the achievements of Shabana’s life.
