The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has issued a fresh summons to British MP Tulip Siddiq, requesting her appearance on June 22 in connection with a case regarding the alleged illegal acquisition of an apartment from Eastern Housing in Gulshan-2, Dhaka. The ACC has reportedly sent notices to five different addresses linked to her in Dhaka, as the commission claims Tulip has been saying through various channels that she has not received previous notices. On Sunday, June 15, ACC Director General Akhtar Hossain stated that the summons has been sent via the local police station, registered mail, and direct delivery by ACC officials, with notices being visibly posted at each location. Meanwhile, the ACC has also launched an investigation against Naser Rahman, son of former BNP finance minister Saifur Rahman, over allegations of illegally accumulated wealth. The commission has instructed relevant officials to freeze his assets and bank accounts as part of the inquiry.
