ANM Saiful Islam, Joint Convener of Dhaka South BNP, criticized the Awami League’s regime, accusing it of fostering political inequality and corruption. Speaking at a discussion on Friday, December 27, organized by the 54th Ward BNP in Shyampur, he emphasized that the BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s 31-point agenda could eliminate political disparity and promote self-reliance in Bangladesh.

Addressing the gathering, Saiful Islam alleged that under the authoritarian rule of the Awami League, BNP activists were denied safety, justice, and even the right to mourn their loved ones. He claimed that dissent against the government resulted in abductions and extrajudicial killings. Highlighting the degradation of essential sectors such as education, healthcare, and judiciary, he urged the youth to unite for the implementation of the 31-point agenda to rebuild the nation.

The event, chaired by 54th Ward BNP General Secretary Shuvo Shikder and moderated by Senior Joint Convener Nazrul Islam and Joint Convener Shamim Ahmed, featured speeches from prominent leaders. Among them were Mozammel Hossain, a former councilor and BNP member, Nasir Molla from the Volunteer Wing, and representatives from various wards, including Nurul Islam, Imtiaz Ahmed Tipu, and Tariqul Islam Palash. Contributions also came from youth and volunteer leaders such as Abdullah Al Saeed Rony and Shahidur Rahman, alongside activists advocating for the BNP’s vision for national progress.
