Unite for the ‘Three Zero’ Vision: Chief Advisor

Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has reaffirmed Bangladesh’s commitment to inclusive and climate-resilient urban development before the global community. In a video message delivered on Monday morning (April 21) during the 81st session of ESCAP at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, he also urged the world to adopt his “Three Zero” vision—zero wealth concentration, zero unemployment, and zero net carbon emissions.
In his address, Dr. Yunus emphasized the need for enhanced regional cooperation to tackle climate and urban challenges. He called on participating nations to harness youth potential and innovation for building a sustainable future.
The ESCAP session, hosted in the Thai capital, brings together 53 member states and 9 associate members of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific. Bangladesh’s delegation is being led by Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor with the rank of a state minister. Dr. Yunus expressed hope that the Bangladesh delegation would contribute valuable insights and foster meaningful partnerships during the weeklong event.
