Metro Trains Won’t Stop at DU Station Today Under Special Directive

In light of the “July Uprising Revival” event, special instructions have been issued regarding Dhaka’s metro rail operations on Monday. According to a public notice from Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) on Sunday (July 13), metro trains will not stop at the Dhaka University station on Monday (July 14) from 5 PM onwards.
The temporary suspension of service at the station was decided by the committee responsible for organizing the July Uprising commemoration event, as stated by DMTCL.
Officials clarified that this directive is valid for Monday only.
Sources indicated that due to the large gatherings expected around the Dhaka University area during the program, the decision was taken to prevent overcrowding and potential chaos at the university metro station.
