High Court warns against using “Doctor” without MBBS or BDS degrees

The High Court has ruled that no one can use the title “Doctor” before their name without holding an MBBS or BDS degree. On Wednesday, a bench comprising Justice Rajik Al Jalil and Justice Sathika Hossain delivered the verdict. The court stated that starting Thursday, legal action will be taken against anyone using the title “Doctor” in violation of the law. However, the court also clarified that no action will be taken against those who have previously used the title without holding the relevant degrees.
