Newly elected DUCSU VP and GS meet Nur at hospital

Newly elected Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Vice President Sadik Kayem and General Secretary S M Forhad, along with several other leaders, visited former DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Thursday afternoon.
The visit was confirmed by Shakil Uzzaman, senior leader and office coordinator of Gono Odhikar Parishad.
Party sources said the student leaders inquired about Nur’s health and discussed his ongoing recovery. Nur has been undergoing treatment at the hospital since August 29, after reportedly being assaulted by law enforcement personnel outside the Gono Odhikar Parishad office in Bijoynagar, Dhaka.
Nur, now serving as President of Gono Odhikar Parishad, sustained injuries during the incident and was admitted that same night. He is currently receiving care in a private cabin at DMCH.
