In the ongoing BPL, while the on-field action is filled with runs, off-field controversies continue to dominate. Fans have broken gates after failing to get tickets, and incidents like arson have also occurred. Additionally, a dispute between the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president and officials from the Ministry of Sports has sparked further discussions.
Now, accusations of misconduct have been directed at BCB President Faruk Ahmed. Director Najmul Abedin Fahim has admitted to such an incident in an interview with a private TV channel. Fahim expressed his disappointment over the remarks made by the president, revealing that the comments have made him feel undervalued by the board. He further added that he was surprised by the comments, especially in front of ministry officials.
Hinting at stepping down from his position, Fahim stated that sometimes he feels it might be better to leave the board. He believes that working outside the board would allow him to contribute more effectively, unlike being a part of it where he feels hindered in his actions.
