Mixed Index Trends Record BDT 94 Crore Turnover in First Hour

On Sunday, January 12, the first trading day of the week, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s premier stock market, experienced mixed trends in its indices, while the majority of company shares and fund units saw price increases.
According to DSE sources, as of 11 a.m., the benchmark index, DSEX, rose by 0.86 points to stand at 5,195. The Shariah index, DSES, gained 5.17 points to reach 1,167, whereas the DS30 index dropped by 2.14 points to settle at 1,922.
During this period, a total turnover of BDT 94.15 crore was recorded. Among the traded companies, the share prices of 150 rose, 132 declined, and 84 remained unchanged.
