This year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations are set to begin on Thursday, June 26. In preparation, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has restricted public access within 200 yards of exam centers in Dhaka, allowing only examinees to enter these zones.
The announcement came through a public notice signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali on Monday (June 23). According to the notice, the 2025 HSC, HSC (Vocational), HSC (BM/BMT), Diploma in Commerce, and Alim examinations will be held across various centers in Dhaka starting June 26.
To ensure that the examinations are conducted in a peaceful and orderly environment, the DMP Commissioner has exercised his authority to fully prohibit public gatherings within 200 yards of the exam venues during the exam periods. This order will remain effective throughout all exam days.
This year, a total of 1,251,111 students are scheduled to participate in the HSC and equivalent exams, with 618,015 male students and 633,096 female students. Compared to last year’s 1,332,993 candidates, the number of examinees has decreased by 81,882.
