At a teacher representatives’ conference organized by the Ideal Teachers Federation at the National Press Club on Sunday (March 9), Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stated that the recent child rape incident in Magura was a severe violation of human rights.

He emphasized that if Jamaat comes to power, it will prioritize reforming the education system, focusing on the development of moral education. He also criticized government-funded educational institutions, claiming that most of them fail to provide proper education and that many teachers receive salaries without actively teaching.

Dr. Rahman further remarked that society is not progressing on the right path and urged teachers to treat their profession as a passion. He assured that if educators fulfill their responsibilities properly, society and the state will take care of them in return.
