Litton Injured Before PSL Kickoff

Litton Das is going through a rough patch in his cricketing career. Despite being a regular in Bangladesh’s national squad, the out-of-form opener was left out of the upcoming Champions Trophy. Still, Karachi Kings showed faith in him by picking him for the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Unfortunately, his journey in the tournament has ended before it even began.
After receiving a No Objection Certificate to play the full season, Litton arrived in Pakistan on April 9. His team, Karachi Kings, was scheduled to play its first match on April 12. However, Litton won’t be part of that game—or any in the tournament. During a practice session before the match, he suffered an injury to his fingers.
Speaking to a local media outlet, Litton revealed he has sustained hairline fractures in multiple fingers. Doctors have advised at least two weeks of rest, prompting him to leave the Karachi camp and return to Bangladesh.
This was set to be Litton’s first appearance in the PSL, despite previously playing in leagues like the Lanka Premier League, Indian Premier League, and Caribbean Premier League. Whether he will get another chance in the PSL remains uncertain, as his injury now puts a pause on that long-awaited debut.
