Inter Miami’s debut match in the CONCACAF Champions Cup was delayed due to a snowstorm. The team, led by Lionel Messi, was scheduled to play Sporting Kansas City, but the adverse weather conditions forced the match to be postponed by a day. The match, originally set to take place on Wednesday morning (Bangladesh time) in Kansas City, was rescheduled to Wednesday evening local time (Thursday morning Bangladesh time) due to forecasts of a severe snowstorm. The U.S. National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for parts of northeastern Kansas and western Missouri, prompting the CONCACAF authorities to delay the match for the safety of players and spectators. The storm was expected to continue, potentially complicating the event, so the decision was made with safety as the top priority. The return leg between Inter Miami and Sporting Kansas City will be held on February 25 at Miami’s Chase Stadium. The winner will advance to the round of 16, where they will face Jamaica’s Cavaliers.
